Stay in shape, learn new skills, and meet new friends with activities in fitness, arts and crafts, culture, dance, water sports, cooking, child care, and more. Our recreation services are available to anyone interested in becoming involved with our community.

Our drop-in programs are designed to meet the interests and needs of all ages and fitness levels. We offer a wide variety of different drop-in programs tailored specifically to suit our communities needs. The programs are first-come, first-serve, so booking in advance is important. 2017 Drop-In Program Schedules

Alternate Fitness/NO CLASSES FROM SEPTEMBER 18 TO 22

September 5 @ 12:00 pm - December 21 @ 12:45 pm

Alternate Fitness Program is a FREE modified fitness class for those of middle-age and seniors, who would like bring some fitness into their lives. It is also open specifically for those at risk for, or currently living with, chronic diseases such as diabetes, osteoporosis, and arthritis. Instructors will lead you through a series of cardio, strength, flexibility and balance exercises to eventually make a more mobile and healthier YOU.

Co-Ed Sports – Badminton

September 12, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - June 19, 2018 @ 9:00 pm

Badminton is a racquet sport played using racquets to hit a shuttlecock across a net. Although it may be played with larger teams, the most common forms of the game are "singles" (with one player per side) and "doubles" (with two players per side).

Co-Ed Sports – Pickleball

September 18 @ 6:00 pm - December 20 @ 8:00 pm

"The fastest growing sport in North America". Pickleball is a racquet sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Two, three, or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, similar to a wiffle ball, over a net. The sport shares features of other racquet sports, the dimensions and layout of a badminton court, and a net and rules similar to tennis, with a few modifications.

Co-Ed Sports – Volleyball

September 18, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - June 21, 2018 @ 9:00 pm

Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules.

Co-Ed Sports – Basketball

September 19 @ 6:00 pm - December 19 @ 8:00 pm

Basketball is a team sport played by two teams of five players on a rectangular court. The objective is to shoot a ball through a hoop 18 inches in diameter and mounted at a height of 10 feet to backboards at each end of the court.

Co-Ed Sports – Indoor Soccer

September 19 @ 8:00 pm - December 19 @ 10:00 pm

Indoor soccer or arena soccer (known internationally as indoor football, minifootball, fast football, floorball or showball) is a game derived from association football adapted for play in a walled indoor arena.

CO-ED SPORTS – SENIOR BASKETBALL (35+)

Co-Ed Sports – Floor Hockey

September 20 @ 8:00 pm - December 20 @ 10:00 pm

Custom Hockey is a stick and ball game played indoors, usually in the style of Ice Hockey, and played on flat floor surfaces, such as a gymnasium or a basketball court. As in other Hockey codes, players on each team attempt to shoot a ball or puck into a goal using sticks, usually with a curved end.

International Folk Dancing

October 22, 2017 @ 2:00 pm - July 1, 2018 @ 4:00 pm

Each week we meet we will learn new dance steps that become new dances and we will review previously learned dances. You may take home a list of Dance steps to go over at home.
As the year progresses, you can learn dances at home and teach them at the class; or If you find something interesting, and can’t lead, I will teach it.

Beginners are welcome!
