Senior's yoga is a very gentle hatha yoga practice for those who want to build strength and improve balance, mobility and range of motion in their joints and spine. Classes will include meditation, gentle stretching, a balancing sequence and relaxation.

RED CROSS BABYSITTERS COURSE-SKIDEGATE/SOLD OUT

This class teaches babysitters and youth working in childcare how to confidently deal with first aid and emergency situations while babysitting. We teach: the basics of early childhood development; safety procedures; what to expect from a variety of age groups; emergency protocol. Learn a variety of games to play, what "healthy snacks" really are, and have fun!

Participants have access to games, toys, puzzles, story time, and fun in the gym!  There is no fee to participate between 9:00 am-12:00 pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings throughout the summer. This is a volunteer effort initiated by an ECE student and made possible through support from the Village of Port Clements and HG Recreation. Each day Karen and Jamie will lead the group through themes like respect, responsibility and interconnection through yoga, arts, crafts and adventures in the community. Each day will start with yoga activities in the community hall followed by snacks and crafts like painting and printmaking. We will also go on an outdoor adventure in the community each day as well as play games and spend time at the park.  Open to kids entering grade 1-grade 7.

GROUP 1 - This exciting four day summer program will focus on daily dance instruction of Ballet, Hip Hop, and Musical Theatre. The morning program is designed for movers between the ages of 5-8 (with any amount of previous dance experience), and will finish with an in-studio showcase on Monday at 11:30 am.  GROUP 2 - This exciting four day summer program will focus on daily dance instruction of Jazz, Lyrical, and Musical Theatre, with Ballet concepts present throughout each style. The afternoon program is designed for movers between the ages of 8-12 (with any amount of previous dance experience), and will finish with an in-studio showcase on Monday at 3:30 pm.
