Summer Day Camps
Registration opens in May!
Haida Gwaii Recreation has been providing affordable, in-town summer day camps for local youth for over 40 years! In our camps, we combine a weekly theme with fun activities that include sport, art, and getting outside, along with healthy snacks & engaging workshops delivered by local instructors (Camp Specialists).
NEW IN 2025
- Our Summer Camps will have a new minimum age of 8 years up to maximum age 12 years.
- Science Al!ve camps are for grades 3 (must have completed grade 3) to grade 7.
- We are committed to supporting partner in-town camps, amplifying the opportunity for recreational childcare in our communities. We will aid in ScienceAl!ve registration in 2025 via our website.

Let’s get outside this summer and embark on scavenger hunts, play in the sand, run relays together, visit community gardens, explore the intertidal, celebrate with a end-of-week celebration, and more!
